Memory Maker

Every good ship needs a name, and ours is "Memory Maker." The name came to us one time when we were in Myrtle Beach with the whole family. My dad decided to load everyone on the boat to go up river to a restaurant. After a long ride by boat, we arrived to discover that the restaurant was so packed that they were no longer even taking reservations! We made the long trek back by boat and wound up eating at a restaurant on the river that is almost directly across from our house.

Someone commented that we were making memories. I thought about it and decided that "Memory Maker" would make a good name for a boat. I decided then that if I ever got a boat or a motor home, I would name it just that. Hopefully this is just the first in a long line of Memory Makers!!

The Countdown is On!!!

After months and months of preparation, the time is getting near for our first RV adventure. Debra and I will be leaving on May 19th for a five to six week trip around the country. We've spent the past five months getting ready and can't wait for the fun to begin!

Our trip will take us out across the bottom half of the United States, up the West coast, and back across the top half of the country. We are planning to visit some of the most well known locations in the U.S., including Four Corners, Monument Valley, Grand Canyon, Vegas, Yosemite, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, and Yellowstone.

We are also planning a couple of short weekend trips to get our feet wet and make sure we have thought of everything we might need for extended living on our RV. We invite you to check in here with us regularly for updates on where we've been and where we are headed!
